Boots for hiking

There are all sorts of different styles of hiking boots. Buy your boots a few days before your hiking trip. You want to be able to break the boots in before your hike. Doing this will help you to avoid blisters and sore feet while hiking. You want your feet to be comfortable because they are your main resource when out in the wilderness.

Bring along food and water

Bring a long plenty of snacks and water when you are hiking. You want to pack light, but you also want to make sure you have healthy snacks for when you are feeling hungry or for when you need a boost of energy. Avoid eating a lot of sugar snacks and drinks. They will only make you tired and will not replenish your lost energy. Water is the best thing to drink when doing any recreation sport outdoors.
